The auction of The Highlands Golf Club will be one for the history books. In July 2007, LGI Land purchased a newly constructed 18 Hole Golf Course along with 600 acres of mountain resort property at auction through a bank foreclosure FOR HALF OF WHAT IT COST TO BUILD THE GOLF COURSE!

Along with acquiring the mountain acreage and The Highlands Golf Course, came a newly constructed Golf Clubhouse equipped with great amenities such as a grill, bar, pro shop and locker rooms.

LGI Land didn't stop just with the acquisition. Within 3 weeks of the auction, LGI Land arrived on site with highly skilled land planners, architects and engineers. Purchasing the golf course, clubhouse and mountain acreage through a bank foreclosure allows LGI to develop an upscale resort and offer the properties for sale at a third of the price of any other golf and resort community.

LGI took great concern in researching the history of the property in searching for a new name for their up and coming resort. One of the first settlers in the area was the Fisher family and the high elevation mountain range which stands at over 3000' is geographically known as "Fisher Mountain". The resort and golf community will now be known simply as "Fisher Mountain". The Golf Club will be known as "The Highlands Golf Club at Fisher Mountain".

This will be the first land offering of its kind. LGI's unique purchase has sparked a fury in many other developers looking for the same steal. The sale has already made many headlines.
